Peter was born in Melbourne, Australia and raised in rural country Victoria. He graduated from Auburn University's School of Architecture with a Bachelor of Interior Design. Peter continued his education through the Institute for Classical Architecture in New York where he worked for Robert A.M. Stern and other similar firms concentrating on custom design within the decorative arts. He has been fortunate enough to have contributed to a wide variety of residential interiors which have often included the design of furniture, lighting, textiles, door hardware and other elements specific to each environment. It is this experience which has lead Peter to be working side by side with Bobby on the McAlpine Home furniture line. With much to share, he has taught advanced residential design as a studio instructor at the Boston Architectural Center and currently is a studio instructor teaching residential design at O'More College of Design in Franklin, Tennessee. Peter is married to Audrey Fleming, an architect with McAlpine Tankerskey. Peter and Audrey are celebrating the arrival of the newest member of their family, their son Beckett.
